How do you plan, through your education, to improve the state of West Virginia or make an impact here?
My number one ambition in life has always been to give back to my community and state that has served me kindly throughout the seventeen years I have lived here. This ambition will grow beyond my required volunteer hours in the near future and continue through my years of postsecondary education, towards employment, where I still won’t withdraw from acts of selflessness and volunteering for the great state of West Virginia.
West Virginia Wesleyan is a college that gives its students great potential and many opportunities to improve the state of West Virginia. Its broad list of community partners is very exciting and promising to me. Writing this essay alone makes me hopeful to convey my exuberant love for this state into something gratifying. Imagine everything I could do for the amelioration and advancement of this state if I had the perfect environment, such as West Virginia Wesleyan College, to do so. Dreaming about the countless acts that I can do for West Virginia alongside the powerful student body of the amazing college thrills me.
Post-graduation and into my desired career as a mechanical engineer, there are even more opportunities to enhance the condition of West Virginia and its laborers. My work could ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of machinery used by many workers of West Virginia and the country. I could also play a part in the power industry of West Virginia and give back through the magic of electricity. I could design the next grail of agricultural machinery that would be useful to the many West Virginians involved in agriculture and farming. There are so many things I can supply West Virginia as a mechanical engineer that it would take me days to get through. There is no limit to what I can do for the state as a mechanical engineer, and I will use that to mine and my state’s advantage.
Even after retirement, I can use all the skills I developed throughout my lifetime to succor West Virginia. Attending a great college that will challenge me to undertake these things, such as West Virginia Wesleyan College, will skew my abilities for the better and prepare me to perform my civil duty as a West Virginian. The values I would learn at such a place would implement unlimited selflessness throughout my lifetime. Therefore, I believe West Virginia Wesleyan College will ornament my behavior for life and would suit me well.
If your dream applicant you are looking to compensate carries great potential to return their gratitudinous experiences with the Mountain State, I’ve carried those traits indefinitely throughout my lifetime and will continue to function that way my entire life.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Peyton Whitt
