Matthew 6:1 - Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them.
I am Peyton Whitt, a rising senior from James Monroe High School. In an effort to retain the morals and values of my blue collared family, my aspirations of becoming a mechanical engineer began as a juvenile of juveniles. I am honored to be a WV Scholar finalist and would love the opportunity to flourish in the WV Wesleyan’s Engineering Duel Degree Program. Throughout the years, I have attained a number of academic achievements, such as they are, 4.14 weighted GPA, top 5% of my class, a position in the National Honor Society, multiple college credits and qualifying for the WV Promise Scholarship. I’m eager to implement everything I have coined through my work in primary and secondary school.
Additionally, I am a pundit of the sports of football, basketball, and baseball, as I have played and excelled in them nearly my whole life. I am a member of James Monroe High’s FCA club and try to excel spiritually as much as intellectually and productively. Being an athlete, honor student, and devoted Christian keeps me active within my small community. It is difficult for me to humbly list everything I have pursued under charitable/volunteer work as an example solely for the purpose of a hyped biography. Helping others is something I strive to do daily in one way or another. Instead, I believe it is more important to give glory to God for laying the path of my life and walking alongside me throughout this eternal journey. Venturing with humbleness always in mind, distracting pride behind me. I am forever grateful for my school, community, and state because they have treated me with such care and love throughout the years. It is truly a blessing to reside here and be a part of the wonderful opportunities that come with it. Anywhere else I go in life will remain under Christ’s envisions and plans.
